Terms of Use

The ground rules for using Revelree — whether you're buying tickets, selling them, or just browsing what's on. We've written this in plain English.

Last updated · April 14, 2026

01The agreement

Welcome to Revelree. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a contract between you and Revelree Tickets Inc., a Canadian corporation (“Revelree”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of revelree.ca, our purchase flow, partner dashboard, scanning apps, and any other services we offer (together, the “Services”).

By using Revelree — including by creating an account, buying a ticket, or scanning one — you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

Heads up

Sections 15 and 18 contain important limits on our liability and the rules for resolving disputes. Please read them.

02Who can use Revelree

To use Revelree you must:

  • Be at least the age of majority in your province or territory (18 or 19 in Canada), or use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian if you are between 13 and that age;
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
  • Not be barred from using the Services under Canadian law or the laws of your country of residence;
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when prompted.

Event Partners must additionally be a duly registered business, sole proprietorship, or non-profit, with the authority to host the events they list on Revelree and to receive payouts in the bank account they provide.

03Your account

You're responsible for your account, the security of your credentials, and everything that happens under it. Keep your password private, turn on two-factor authentication, and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised. We may require identity verification before we restore access.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@revelree.ca. Closing your account does not cancel any tickets you've already purchased or any events you're hosting as a Partner.

04Buying a ticket

When you buy a ticket through Revelree, you are entering into a contract with the Partner who is hosting the event. Revelree is the platform that facilitates the sale, collects payment on the Partner's behalf, and delivers the ticket to you. We are not the event organizer, performer, venue, or producer.

By completing a purchase, you confirm that:

  • The payment method belongs to you, or you are authorized to use it;
  • The information you provided about each ticket holder is accurate;
  • You understand that some events have age restrictions, dress codes, or other rules listed on the event page;
  • You are not buying tickets for the purpose of resale at a markup unless the Partner has expressly authorized resale.

Once a purchase is complete and confirmed, the ticket is yours subject to the Refund Policy below.

05The ticket itself

Tickets sold through Revelree are revocable licences to enter the event described on the ticket, on the date and at the location stated, subject to the Partner's rules. The Partner reserves the right to refuse entry for any lawful reason, including intoxication, disorderly conduct, or failure to meet a posted dress code or age restriction.

Do not duplicate, alter, photograph, or share the barcode on your ticket. Each ticket may be scanned only once. If you reproduce a ticket and a duplicate is presented at the gate, only the first scan will be honored and the holder of subsequent scans may be refused entry without refund.

Lost or stolen tickets: contact the Partner directly through their event page on Revelree. Most Partners can re-issue a digital ticket if the original hasn't been scanned.

06Partners and Revelree

Each event on Revelree is hosted by an independent Partner. The Partner controls the event: its description, lineup, schedule, refund rules, seating, accessibility accommodations, age restrictions, and conduct policies. The Partner is solely responsible for delivering the event as advertised, for the safety of attendees, and for the accuracy of the information on the event page.

Revelree is responsible for the platform itself: the storefront, the purchase flow, the ticket delivery, the scanning system, the payment processing, and the reporting. We are not responsible for the event being cancelled, rescheduled, or different from how it was advertised — but we will help you sort it out and we'll always advocate for ticket holders in good-faith disputes.

07Fees and currency

Tickets are priced in the currency selected by the Partner, defaulting to Canadian dollars (CAD). U.S. dollars (USD) are supported where the Partner has enabled USD pricing.

Service fees are shown on the checkout page before you confirm payment. Unless your Partner has opted to absorb fees, the fee structure is:

  • 3.6% + $0.95 CAD per ticket on most events
  • An additional $0.40 CAD processing fee per order
  • Currency conversion at the prevailing mid-market rate plus 1.5%, where applicable

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, where Revelree cancels the event due to a platform-side error, or where the Partner has specifically agreed to refund them.

08Refunds and exchanges

Refunds are handled on a per-Partner basis. Each Partner sets the refund and exchange policy for their own events, and that policy is displayed on the Partner's bio page and on each event page before you purchase. Read it before you buy.

Revelree will always refund a purchase in full (including fees) when:

  • The Partner cancels the event outright;
  • A platform error caused a duplicate charge;
  • We are required to refund by Canadian consumer-protection law.

For all other situations, please see our full Refund Policy.

09The Ree•bates program

Ree•bates is our cashback program. As an attendee, you earn a small percentage of fees back when you buy tickets to participating events. As a Partner, you earn a tiered rebate based on your 12-month gross ticket sales through Revelree, paid as a quarterly credit.

Rebates are calculated on net (post-refund) ticket revenue and are not earned on cancelled events, fraudulent transactions, or refunded orders. Full program rules, tier thresholds, and payout schedules are documented at revelree.ca/reebates and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

10Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Revelree to commit fraud, launder money, evade taxes, or engage in any other illegal activity;
  • Resell tickets above face value where the Partner has not expressly authorized resale, or where prohibited by law;
  • Use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated tools to purchase tickets, access the Services, or extract data;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without our written permission;
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Services, including by overloading our infrastructure;
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
  • Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, violent, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes a third party's rights;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Services, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.

11Your content

When you submit content to Revelree — an event description, an image, a review, a support message — you keep ownership of it. You grant Revelree a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating and improving the Services. This licence ends when you delete the content, except to the extent we need to keep it for legal or backup purposes.

You're responsible for the content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights to it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.

12Our intellectual property

The Revelree name, the “rev•el•ree” wordmark, the Ree•bates brand, the dot-separated punctuation styling, the software that powers the Services, and the design of revelree.ca are owned by Revelree Tickets Inc. and protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other laws. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

13Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime on the ticket purchase flow and the scanning system, but the Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect active Partners or scheduled events.

14Warranty disclaimer

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the disclaimer of certain warranties. In those places, the warranty disclaimer above applies only to the extent permitted by law.

15Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Revelree's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Revelree in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

In no event will Revelree be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or for personal injury caused by negligence.

16Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Revelree, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Services in violation of these Terms, (b) your content, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. We may assume the exclusive defence of any matter for which you have indemnified us, in which case you will cooperate with our defence.

17Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we're required to do so by law, or if continuing to provide the Services to you would expose Revelree or others to material risk. Where the situation allows, we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the problem.

On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (including payment obligations, intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

18Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Before filing any formal dispute, please email legal@revelree.ca with a description of the issue. We'll try to resolve it informally within 60 days. If we can't, the courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If you are a Quebec consumer, nothing in this section limits your rights under Quebec consumer-protection law to bring an action in Quebec.

19Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here, update the “Last updated” date at the top, and notify active account holders for any material change. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
